Rain Race Date assigned
Sunday November 13th is now assigned to substitute Club Race #1, which was rained out. Track will be run in reverse direction, rain or shine. Saturday November 12th will be an Open Practice day. Swap Meet MBK will be having a swap meet next club race weekend, Saturday September 17th. Bring out all your used, unwanted karting gear and make a few bucks and/or buy some more stuff! Marina Labor Day Parade, Sat September 3rd MBK wants to put karts on display and as well participate in the parade with the gokart. If you are interested in promoting karting in our area, have some fun driving the gokart on the street, please come and help out. Contact Alan Freese for more details. Pictures Club Race #6 Thanks to Lola (aka Kati Kattanek) for taking some snapshots . Gold Rush Gold Rush will be coming to MBK. July 9 & 10th will be the start of the 2011 season of *~Gold Rush series*~ at Marina Airport kart track. Gold Rush is racing for the fun and cash. At the end of season part of the class entry fees will be given back to the karters. Everybody attending 5 out 6 races qualifies for the cash. Mark your calendar.
New "NEWBIE/ROOKIE" class MBK is adding a new "NEWBIE/ROOKIE" class for all upcoming race days. (starting next Saturday May 14th) The newbie/rookie class is intended for Senior and Junior karters who don't like to participate in one of the racing classes. If you don't want to race, just like to go out to practice or test, this is the class for you. Come on out and have some fun. MBK Newsletter March 2011

New Board Member Alan Freese has stepped up to help the club by serving on the board as President. Welcome on board. Thank you Alan! 2010 Championship Results MKB congratulates all 2010 Club Champions. And thank you to all participants who came out to race. A big applause to all volunteers, workers and supporters who made the racing at MBK possible. New Timing System Great news! We've purchase a used AMB timing system that is normally over $30,000 for under $10k!!! This is the same system that ALL the other kart tracks have been using. Proven, reliable, and great tech support. Race Registration will remain the same. There will be a transponder rental fee per race (see RaceInfo). There will be no additional costs for those of you that have your own AMB transponder, just the usual registration.
